We have always been very proud of the food quality served at both Highgrove and Heaton House and so when the foods standards agency began its Food Hygiene Rating scheme some years ago we were all for it.
Once again, we were recently awarded their highest rating of ‘5’ for both Highgrove House and Heaton House (each home has to be inspected separately). The inspectors don’t actually taste our food, they just check the hygiene of the facilities in which it’s stored and produced.
We are always happy to offer them and any other visitors breakfast, lunch, dinner, tea and cake, or just a quick cuppa. Everything is freshly bought and made on site by our chefs, ensuring that our residents get hearty nutrient-filled meals that taste delicious.
Many of our residents have dietary needs and we’ve coped with almost every requirement over the years so it’s no trouble at all to prepare different versions or even completely different foods for people.
If you’d like to pop in at lunchtime to view one of our homes and try our meals, just call beforehand and we’ll get an extra setting laid at the table, we’d love to see you!
